Stäubli Test Probe MC4 - PV-PST - 32.6028

The Stäubli test probe PV-PST (32.6028) checks whether the crimp contact of an original MC4 connector is correctly engaged in the insulating part. It is approximately 75 mm long and weighs about 10 g.

Application

This test pin makes it easy to check whether the contact of the MC4 is correctly engaged in the insulation.

This check is part of the procedure for every connection assembled on site. A contact that has not snapped into place may slip back when the connector is plugged in – meaning the connection will not make a secure contact. Use the probe to press down on the contact from the plug side: if it feels firm, it has snapped into place.

MC4 or MC4-Evo 2

There is a dedicated test probe for each connector series. This is compatible with the original MC4. For the MC4-Evo 2 series, use the test probe PV-EVO-PST. According to the manufacturer’s catalogue, both are included in the tool kit for MC4 and MC4-Evo 2.
