The Stäubli splitter plug PV-AZS4-EVO 2-UR (32.0197) combines two MC4 cables into a single connection. Typical use: connecting two module strings in parallel. It is approved for DC 1500 V.

What sets it apart

According to the manufacturer’s data sheet, the MC4-Evo 2 branch series is certified to IEC 62852 and UL 6703 for DC 1500 V. It is plugged in without the need for crimping or torque tools (‘plug-and-play’), is compatible with original MC4 MC4 Evo-2 connectors, and is resistant to salt spray. The MULTILAM contacts keep power dissipation consistently low throughout their service life.

Parallel connection in practice

In a parallel connection, the currents from the strings add together. You should therefore check beforehand whether the inverter input can handle the total current and whether the strings are configured identically. The branch plug and branch socket PV-AZB4-EVO 2-UR together form the positive and negative pair.
