Stäubli couplers MC4-Evo 2 II - PV-KST4-EVO 2A/6II - 32.0321P0001

The connector PV-KST4-EVO 2A/6II from Stäubli (32.0321P0001) is designed for PV cables with a cross-section of 4 or 6 mm² and an outer diameter of 6.4 to 8.4 mm. It belongs to the MC4 Evo-2-Series 2A and is approved for 1500 V DC.

What it is used for

The plug connects cables with heavy-duty insulation to sockets in the MC4 family, for example for outdoor extension runs. According to the data sheet, it carries up to 53 A at 6 mm² and up to 45 A at 4 mm². The insulating part is made of PA, whilst the contact is made of tinned copper.

According to the current data sheet, the range is internationally certified to IEC, UL and JET standards and is fully approved for 1500 V DC; in accordance with NEC 2023, it can only be unlocked using a tool.

Installation instructions

• Do not disconnect under load.
• Check the contact with a test probe after it has clicked into place.
• Tighten the cable gland to the specified torque.
