Stäubli MC4-Evo 2 II connector - PV-KBT4-EVO 2A/10II - 32.0324P0001

The Stäubli coupler socket PV-KBT4-EVO 2A/10II (32.0324P0001) is the MC4-Evo-2 socket from the 2A series for a 10 mm² cross-section. According to the manufacturer’s data sheet, it withstands up to 69 A at 1500 V DC (IEC 62852) and is suitable for cables with an external diameter of 6.4 to 8.4 mm.

When 10 mm² is required

High branch currents and long cable runs between the module array and the inverter make 10 mm² the preferred choice: the voltage drop remains lower. The socket has a dedicated crimp opening (6.5 mm) for this purpose and is intended solely for this cross-section. According to UL 6703, the data sheet specifies 70 A at 8 AWG.

According to the current data sheet, the series is internationally certified to IEC, UL and JET standards and is fully approved for 1,500 V DC; in accordance with NEC 2023, it can only be unlocked using a tool. When connected, the connection meets the requirements of IP65/IP68; when disconnected, IP2X.
