What’s Included in the Complete Set and What’s Not
Each set includes the modules, the hybrid inverter, the storage system, and the cables listed in the bill of materials. Not included are the roof mounting structure, installation and connection by a licensed electrician, or registration with the grid operator and in the Market Master Data Register. The Market Master Data Register applies to systems in Germany; in Austria, the system is registered with the grid operator. Suitable rails and hooks can be found under Mounting Structure.
What Storage Capacity Is Suitable for 10 kWp?
The storage system stores the day’s excess energy for use in the evening and at night. The appropriate size depends less on the system itself than on consumption after sunset: A household with low evening energy needs can get by with 7.6 kWh; if you have a heat pump or an electric car, it’s worth considering 10 or 15 kWh. The storage capacity is indicated in the name of each set. You’ll find all sizes from 6.8 to 30 kWp under PV System with Storage.
How much roof space you need
The modules each measure approximately 1.76 × 1.13 m, or about 2 m². Twenty modules therefore require just over 40 m² of pure module area, while 24 modules require just under 48 m², in each case excluding edge clearances. The page Planning a PV System explains how the planning of the roof, modules, and storage system are interrelated.
Frequently Asked Questions About the 10 kWp PV System with Storage
