Growatt manufactures string and hybrid inverters as well as storage solutions for residential, commercial, and utility-scale photovoltaic systems. The “MPPT” control system maintains stable output even with varying irradiance and uneven roof orientations; hybrid units connect directly to the battery storage system, so that excess energy is stored rather than fed into the grid.

At Growatt, the term refers to the XH interface of the single-phase MIN and three-phase MOD units: It allows for the later retrofitting of a storage system on the DC side without installing an additional battery inverter. Anyone who installs a system today without storage is not limiting their options.

For the retrofit market on existing third-party systems, Growatt covers both approaches: the DC-coupled SPH series and the AC-coupled approach—on a small scale with NOAH, and on a larger scale with SPA. This makes it possible to add storage to almost any existing system.

ACTEC carries Growatt inverters, storage systems, and the THOR wallbox, which integrates into energy management. For specialized contractors, Growatt is particularly attractive in situations where a quote must be provided today, but the customer will decide on storage later.
