Fronius has been manufacturing inverters for photovoltaic systems since 1992. The Symo and GEN24 cover the power range from single-family home systems to commercial rooftop installations; the Symo Plus combines storage integration and backup power in a single unit.

The Dynamic Peak Manager regularly rescans the string’s characteristic curve to maximize yield during partial shading. To ensure supply reliability, depending on the unit, PV Point or a full-fledged backup system is available. Via Solar.web, installers and operators can view system status, yields, and errors at any time.

Sector coupling that works without additional controls

Fronius’s true strength lies in utilizing its own solar power: The inverter communicates directly with the Wattpilot (wallbox) and the Ohmpilot (heating element controller). Before surplus power is fed into the grid at a low feed-in tariff, the system gradually increases the power to these loads—the electricity goes to the car or the hot water cylinder. This operates without an additional control box and is clearly displayed in the Solar.web app.
