Cooling, heating, and making smart use of PV power

Hantech combines split and multisplit air conditioners with air-to-water heat pumps to create a portfolio for building services engineering. The H-PRO-series operates with DC inverter compressors and the R32 refrigerant: Output adapts to actual cooling or heating demand, rather than cycling between full load and standstill.

The Gold-Fin coating on the heat exchangers increases the corrosion resistance of the outdoor units and ensures stable operation even in changing weather conditions. Multisplit systems connect multiple indoor units to a single outdoor unit—fewer outdoor units, less installation effort, and multiple rooms served by a single system.

R290-Monoblock: Heat pump without a refrigerant license

Technically, the most interesting part of the portfolio is the R290-monoblock heat pumps. The refrigeration circuit is hermetically sealed within the outdoor unit; only the water line enters the house. Therefore, no refrigerant certification is required for installation—a significant difference in day-to-day business for heating contractors without a refrigerant license.

Air Quality as Part of the System

The H-PRO-models feature bipolar ionizers or “UV-C” modules that actively bind pollutants—a key consideration wherever air conditioning and indoor air quality are discussed together.

Hantech at ACTEC

ACTEC carries Hantech air conditioners and heat pumps for specialized contractors. When combined with a PV system and a storage unit from the same product line, the system’s operation can be largely powered by the building’s own electricity.
