PowerOcean: Inverters and storage as a single system
With the PowerOcean range, EcoFlow is not building individual components, but a cohesive energy system: a three-phase hybrid inverter, scalable LFP battery storage and integrated energy management. The inverter converts the PV direct current whilst simultaneously controlling how much surplus energy goes into the storage system.
The high-voltage architecture keeps current levels – and therefore losses – low. The storage capacity can be expanded modularly without replacing the inverter — meaning the system grows in line with consumption, not with the initial design.
An ecosystem rather than individual devices
The real difference lies in the connectivity: from the Smart Plug to the hybrid inverter, all components communicate via a single platform. The PowerInsight Home Energy Monitor serves as a dashboard in the living space and automatically optimises self-consumption — it switches on appliances such as the PowerGlow heating element precisely when surplus energy is available, thereby reducing grid consumption without any action required from the user.
EcoFlow at ACTEC
ACTEC supplies EcoFlow to private customers and specialist installers. Suitable for private photovoltaic systems requiring storage, commercial installations and projects where backup capability is required. For specialist installers, this means a pre-configured system rather than a storage solution pieced together from third-party components.
